Supporting Santa Lucia Birth Center:Did you know BBRN’s lending library will be on loan to the Birth Center? This is a win win for everyone; stocking their shelves and getting our materials into the hands of women in our community. We will be updating the library with some new books and movies. Do you have some ideas on your favorite new releases about pregnancy, labor and birth? Supporting Women in Need in Our Community:We will be assembling birth kits to give to women in need regardless of where or with whom they are birthing. Being pregnant when you are going through financially difficult times is stressful. We will be reaching out to the LMs and CNMs in our community to put us in contact with women who need a little extra support during this important time. We need your fun & creative ideas for what to include in a hospital birth kit. Fundraising:As soon as they are assembled we will also start selling both our homebirth and hospital birth kits at our Education Nights! Collaboration:We are exploring merging the SLO County Mommies Fair with our Birth & Baby Fair; another win win for the community! Moving Our Education Nights:We have two exciting new possible new locations for our education nights. EcoBambino has an activity space in their new downtown SLO location and Santa Lucia Birth Center will have a community room as well. Both have graciously offered them to us! We will be checking out the spaces. Stay tuned! Don’t forget to become a fan of BBRN on facebook. |
